Sp🎃🎃ky Season

The month of October was extremely busy for me. How about you? What fun, fall adventures did you get yourself into? Me? Oh, I’m glad you asked!

First, I went to Massachusetts to see one of my very best friends! He took me to Salem to see all of the spookiness that town is known for. We did the super-touristy thing and took our pic by the Bewitched statue. I saw some seriously spooky cosplay characters and I was there on a Thursday morning. I can only imagine what it’s like on a weekend. Once we were done there, we drove along the coast and went to the very first place in the country that had fried clams…Woodman’s. I had shrimp but I did try my friend’s clams…yummy!

Next, we went to an apple orchard. I love going to apple orchards and picking my own apples. We walked all over this orchard to find the apples we specifically wanted. We picked Smitten, Winesap and Macoun…used later to make a delicious apple crumble by my bestie!

We also went to the Hammond Castle Museum – and there were lots of similarities to the castles in Ireland BUT there was no Blarney Stone to kiss! There were LOTS of stairs though!

We went on a Ghost Tour in the Boston Commons that really ended up being a history lesson. We weren’t able to go inside any of the buildings or cemeteries the guide was showing us…hence – the history lesson. During the tour, 7 cop cars came racing down the street and stopped in front of the US Bank. We wanted to ditch the tour to sit and watch the outcome of that incident. It was far more interesting.

Just before the tour, we had dinner at Cheers! You know, where everybody knows your name? Yep – I was there.

I had so much fun with my bestie that I really didn’t want to come home. BUT – I’ve been helping out at a ranch for pumpkin season. One day of helping out because they needed someone turned into a full month of fun on the ranch! My mother and oldest daughter also work at this ranch and we had to ensure all of our friends received spooky, tasty treats that we made….Picture below!

Tonight, I finished the month out by handing out candy to the trick or treaters in my neighborhood. I really didn’t know how many we would have as this is our first Halloween here. Aaaannnnnnndddddd – we had a ton! We lost count within the first 30 minutes because there were so many! It was a great time!

I hope you all had a wonderful October and did lots of fun, fall activities. Tomorrow it’s Christmas music and decorating! That’s right, don’t judge me!

Until next time….xoxo

Tracy
