IRELAND IN THE FALL pt 2!

I need to talk about Ireland again…I forgot a few things in my last post. Some pics of me being completely silly because I was having such an amazing time (and because I really am goofy/silly most of the time) and was truly happy to be there! Plus, I forgot to mention how much I loved all of the flowers all over that country. Every town has gorgeous flowers all over…from the street median to the storefronts…they are absolutely beautiful!

I loved going to all of the castles, houses, etc. I took in as much as I could, but I do plan to return for a much longer stay. I stated in my previous post that I was able to go to Blarney Castle and actually kiss the Blarney Stone. Well, I have proof! Picture below. Getting up to the stone, which is located at the top of the castle, can be pretty daunting if you do not like closed spaces or heights. The spiral stairway gets narrower the higher you climb. I’m neither claustrophobic nor afraid of heights so it was great for me. I can understand the disappointment from those with phobias unable to climb to the top.

Below are some photos of me doing exactly what I do…laughing because I am too tall to fit in the doorways of the castles. Was Lord Farquaad from Ireland?!?!? One of the photos, I’m jumping up in the air but my daughter kept laughing and couldn’t get the shot. Sooooo, I look like I’m proud of myself for winning something. Maybe I did win something – my happiness for being able to travel to such an amazing country.

We were able to go to Cork and get to the English Market. There were tons of stalls with lots to buy. The below fish is not something I would EVER consider purchasing! It was a great experience though.

Finally – more than anything I wanted to go to an Irish pub that was playing Irish music, and everyone was having an amazing time. Well, the Cobblestone Pub delivered!!! When I return this will be my pub of choice in Dublin. The people were great, the music was fantastic, and the vibe was amazing! I just need to remember to go early and get my seat as it was standing room only! I might have to dust my kazoo off and join the band…what d’ya think!?!?!? Ireland – I cannot wait to return!

Until next time…..xoxo,
